Day 1. Transfer from airport to hotel, afternoon visit to Islamabad: Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument Museum, Lok Virsa Museum, Marghala Hills. Hotel accommodation
Day 2. Drive from Islamabad to Naran via the famous Karakoram Highway, the highest paved road - hotel accommodation
The Karakoram Highway is 1,300 km long and is the highest paved road in the world. It stretches from Rawalpindi to Kashgar, connecting Pakistan and Western China, and follows the ancient Silk Road. Its construction lasting 20 years is a joint work of Pakistan and China, it was opened to tourist traffic in 1986. Its highest point is the Khunjerab Pass (4,693 m above sea level) and it is the highest road border crossing in the world, but due to climatic conditions it is it is closed to traffic from November to April. It is worth knowing that this border crossing is not open to tourists. Due to its height and the very difficult conditions in which it was built, it was also called the "eighth wonder of the world".
Day 3. Transfer from Naran to Skardu, driving through the famous Babusar Top (4,175 m above sea level). Hotel accommodation in Skardu.
Skardu is located in the Gilgit-Baltistan province of Pakistan. The Skardu Valley is approximately 10 km wide and 40 km long. It is located at the confluence of the Shigar River and the Indus River. It is surrounded by the vast Karakoram range. Together with the nearby lakes and mountains, it is an important tourist destination in Pakistan. Skardu is the main city of Baltistan and the largest district of the Northern Areas. It is the starting point for mountain expeditions and mountain lovers who hike to the Baltoro Glacier, K2 base camp and Concordia, Baltistan is an area where some of the highest peaks in the world are located in the Karakoram range.
Day 4. Jeep ride from Skardu to Khashmal and start trekking to Khosar Gang Base Camp (4,005 m above sea level) - 4-5 hour trekking, during which you can see the wild and dry areas of the Karakoram, you can see the same Lamargaspa waterfall, which is one of the largest waterfalls in the Shigar Valley (accommodation in tents)
Day 5. Rest day for acclimatization at Khosar Gang Base Camp (4,005 above sea level). Accommodation in tents
Day 6. Climbing from Khosar Gang base camp to Camp I (4,800 m above sea level)
A quiet approach to the place where Camp I will be built. The first part of the route leads along a grassy slope, and the second along a rocky ridge (approx. 4-5 hours of ascent). Accommodation in tents
Day 7. Acclimatization return to Khosar Gang Base Camp. Rest and overnight stay in tents at the Base Camp.
Day 8. Climbing from Khosar Gang Base Camp to Camp I and Camp II (5,200m above sea level)
After reaching Camp I, we will face the first part of the climb to Camp II, leading along a rock ridge. Snow is common in this place, even in high season. (~5 hours). Accommodation in tents
Day 9. Acclimatization return to Khosar Gang Base Camp. Rest and overnight stay in tents at the Base Camp.
Day 10. Climbing from Khosar Gang Base Camp to Camp I and Camp II (5,200m above sea level)
After reaching Camp I, we will face the first part of the climb to Camp II, leading along a rock ridge. Snow is common in this place, even in high season. (~5 hours). Accommodation in tents
Day 11. Climbing from Camp II to the top of Khosar Gang (6,046 m a.s.l.) and descent to Camp II (overnight in tents)
After an early breakfast, we set off to the summit to take advantage of the favorable conditions and hard snow on the route. Mostly we walk in the snow in a snow field using handrails (700 m), the later, steeper section leads to the summit ridge and the main peak.
!!! Knowledge of techniques and equipment for self-belaying and winter tourism is required!!!
After reaching the peak, we go down to Camp II for the night (5-6 hours of ascent, 3-4 hours of descent)
Day 12. Return from Camp II to Khosor Gang Base Camp
Day 13. Trekking from Khosor Gang Base Camp through Sarfa Brangsa to Khashmal and jeep ride from Khashmal to Skardu - overnight stay at the hotel
Day 14. Drive from Skardu to Naran via Babusar Top
Day 15. Transfer from Naran to Islamabad
Day 16. Rest day in Islamabad, preparation for the journey.
Day 17. Islamabad: transfer to the airport before departure and end of trip.
